BLIXENS

When 900 municipal workplaces were to be gathered in a newly constructed building in Gellerup, I was tasked with creating coherence between functions and architecture. I developed the building's name, logo and design manual - and using the building's facade as inspiration, I created a pattern that is used across the building to tie the entire building together. To make it easy to find your way around, I designed color-coded zones and signage with recognizable motifs from Aarhus. In addition to design and wayfinding, the project included room signage, pictograms, paint schemes and foils with different degrees of shielding. The result is BLIXENS: A workplace that creates calm, recognition and belonging in a busy everyday life.
